Pursuing your own interests

Are you struggling to achieve your goals? Do you wonder where the time goes? We have different ways to spend a beautiful day. Don’t make pursuing dreams complicated.

As a general rule, accomplishing your life’s goals is a personal and economic dilemma. There are different strains on your time. Family obligations dictate the majority of this precious commodity. However, your feelings and desires are in conflict with what you should do.

I’m here to help and have struggled with the same questions when pursuing my own interests. Following this question logically is the best way to make the “Yes or No” decision.

Make Your Dreams Come True

Take all your distractions and put them aside for the next 10 minutes. You’re here to make your dreams as vibrant as the north star.

By not pursuing your interests, are you reaching your true potential?

You’ll experience the biggest regret if you don’t. It is one of the biggest motivators. And you’re the leading enemy of your own aspirations.

I say that because you will go over all the possible scenarios of what the future will hold. Before you know it, weeks and months pass by with no activity.

This, my friend, incurs more regret.

Now, I will give you a story of my remorse.

I always wanted to start my own business. But I didn’t know what kind of venture I wanted to create. Different options circulated in my head for years.

Before I knew it, 5 more quick years passed. I spent the better part of half a decade reading business books. I took no action with the information I absorbed.

In the end, I started this blog dedicated to preserving liberty. I never thought I would end up being an activist for liberty- much less become involved in politics.

Take one piece of advice from this section. TAKE ACTION NOW!

Your dreams will thank you. I want you to feel the power of freedom of choice.

Economic Gain and Help Your Family

Let’s look at the top reasons to pursue your dreams.

1. Make Extra Income for Yourself

What’s wrong with making a few extra dollars? Your biggest critics will be the people with no connection to you. Ignore them!

Money isn’t always used for evil. Economists and I see it as a tool necessary for the function of society. It has value because we give it meaning.

Your admired creations deserve paid compensation. The free market decides the amount.

Go deposit your extra money in your checking account and don’t look back!

2. Learn New Skills

In your side hustle, you’ll gain crucial life skills. Knowledge requires a thirst for learning. You’ll want to devour all the new information to master your craft.

If you’re working with your hands, you’ll flex your carpentry skills. Developing your sharp intellect is another positive for those doing knowledge work.

How do you go about developing these talents to pursue your interests?

Taking courses online is a new way to increase your skill set. You don’t always have to go to a university.

As my personal journey develops, I used this method. Learning new skills online lowers the outside pressures. No longer do you have the big class staring at you judging your mistakes.

3. Time Management

Starting a new project takes coordination and dedication. You’ll have an idea of how much time you will allot for your new pursuits.

In addition to chasing your prize, you’ll have to balance your:

  • social life
  • family life
  • personal time

That’s a puzzle for a wizard to solve. But you’re the magician deciding the course of action.

As Americans, we have unlimited distractions on our time.

A recent survey of office workers found the following distractions:

  • 37% of parents have more distractions than non-parents
  • 69% of participants received distractions from household chores while working from home

The top distractions included:

  1. Checking personal communications
  2. Surfing the web for random information
  3. Unintended conversations with peers

To succeed at your job, your confidence keeps you focused to achieve your ultimate goal. Pursuing your own interests requests it.
